Job Summary:
The Engineer, SMT Process is responsible for development, improvement, and validation of existing manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling, and fixtures, addresses daily technical issues and challenges in production and operations, implements and supports/utilizes effective manufacturing methodologies, such as Lean/Six Sigma, DFM, SPC, FMEA etc., always follows local and international regulatory standards (e.g. GMP and ISO 13485).
Job Description:
- Develop and generate programs for SMT equipment using inline and offline software.
- Create and optimize reflow profiles in compliance with IPC-A-610 and internal quality standards.
- Analyze SMT yield, defects, and failure modes; drive root cause and corrective actions.
- Manage non-conforming materials and implement preventive and corrective measures.
- Design, develop, and improve manufacturing processes, tooling, fixtures, and equipment.
- Perform process validations (IQ/OQ/PQ) and prepare validation protocols and reports.

Develop clear, user-friendly manufacturing procedures and work instructions.
- Provide technical support and training to production operators and cross-functional teams.
- Lead or support product transfer, DFM improvements, and supplier qualification activities.

Implement Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct PFMEA, process capability planning, and efficiency improvement activities.
- Support material control, tooling availability, EHS compliance, and production efficiency programs.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related).
- Experience in SMT / PCBA or electro-mechanical manufacturing in a high-volume environment.
- Strong knowledge of SMT processes, IPC-A-610, reflow profiling, and equipment programming.
- Hands-on experience with process validation, automation, DOE, FMEA, and SPC.

Familiar with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.

Proficient in CAD tools, documentation, and data analysis (Excel, reports).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional teamwork skills.
