Key Responsibilities:
1 Electronic Circuit & PCB Design
  • Design and develop analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits for consumer electronic products.

  • Create schematics, PCB layouts, and component selection using tools like Altium, OrCAD, or KiCad.

  • Optimize PCB design for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), thermal management, and reliability.

  • Perform signal integrity (SI) and power integrity (PI) analysis for high-speed designs.

2 Prototyping & Testing
  • Build and test electronic prototypes to validate circuit functionality, performance, and reliability.

  • Work with NPI and test engineers to define functional and in-circuit test (ICT) strategies.

  • Debug hardware issues using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, and multimeters.

  • Develop and execute hardware validation plans (HVP) to ensure compliance with specifications.

3. DFM/DFT & Production Readiness

  • Ensure Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Testability (DFT), and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles are met.
  • Work closely with process engineers, SMT teams, and suppliers to optimize component placement and PCB stack-ups.
  • Collaborate with FA (Failure Analysis) and reliability teams to improve design robustness.
  • Validate FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and SAT (Site Acceptance Test) for new product designs.

4. Compliance & Regulatory Standards

  • Ensure products comply with EMC, FCC, CE, UL, and RoHS/REACH standards.
  • Perform environmental and stress testing (ESD, thermal cycling, vibration, etc.).
  • Prepare and maintain design documentation, BOMs, test reports, and technical drawings.

5. Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Research and implement new technologies, components, and materials to enhance product performance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Support cost reduction and yield improvement initiatives by optimizing PCB designs and materials.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, emerging electronic components, and advanced manufacturing techniques.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years in electronics hardware design, preferably in an EMS or consumer electronics industry.
  • Expertise in PCB design tools (Altium, OrCAD, Cadence, etc.).
  • Knowledge of microcontrollers, power management circuits, and communication protocols (SPI, 12C, UART, USB, CAN, etc.).
  • Experience with circuit simulation tools (SPICE, LTspice, MATLAB, etc.).
  • Familiarity with firmware development (C, Python, or embedded systems) is a plus.
  • Understanding of thermal management, EMI/EMC design, and safety regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for debugging complex electronic circuits.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams (NPI, test, process, and quality engineers).
