Company Background
Our client specialize in manufacture and repair of switchgear, switchboards, electrical control panels, electric motors, transformers, and power distribution equipment. They provide electrical manufacturing and engineering solutions for industrial and commercial applications in Singapore.
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate and supervise daily M&E installation works for data centre projects.
- Manage site activities covering Electrical, Mechanical, ACMV, Fire Protection, ELV, BMS, UPS, LV/MV, genset and chiller plant systems.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, vendors and internal project teams.
- Monitor site progress, manpower, material delivery, work quality and safety compliance.
- Review and follow up on drawings, method statements, risk assessments, inspection records and handover documents.
- Coordinate M&E interface issues and ensure proper work sequencing.
- Support inspection, testing & commissioning, defect rectification and close-out activities.
- Attend site meetings and prepare progress reports, site reports and project updates.
- Follow up on technical clarifications, site instructions, non-conformance issues, variation works and project close-out matters.
- Ensure works comply with project specifications, client requirements, BCA-related requirements and Singapore site procedures
Job Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in M&E installation, construction site coordination, data centre, industrial building or large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Data centre M&E installation experience will be highly preferred.
- BCCPE Certificate of Attendance will be an advantage.
- BCA-related project experience, Singapore construction site experience or BCA documentation exposure will be preferred.
- Familiar with M&E installation sequence, site coordination, drawing review, inspection process, testing records and handover documentation.
- Knowledge of LV/MV, UPS, genset, chiller plant, ACMV, fire protection, ELV/BMS or testing & commissioning will be an advantage.
- Able to communicate effectively in English with clients, consultants, main contractors and subcontractors.
- Able to work independently, solve site issues and coordinate multiple work parties under tight project schedules.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office. AutoCAD / BIM knowledge will be an added advantage.
- Willing to work on project sites in Singapore.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BCCPE Certificate of Attendance
- BCA-related project experience
- Data centre project experience
- M&E contractor or main contractor background
- Electrical / Mechanical / ACMV installation experience
- Testing & Commissioning experience
- Experience working with consultants, QP, RE, RTO, main contractors or client representatives
