Work Location

Permanent placement at the Malaysia factory, with willingness to travel across Southeast Asia and Middle Eastern countries.

Responsible Regions

Malaysia domestic market, Southeast Asian countries, and Gulf countries in the Middle East.

JAKIM Halal-certified products, including mushroom fermentation-based flavor enhancers, compound seasonings, food seasoning ingredients, mushrooms, and other food ingredients.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Fully responsible for the overall marketing strategy, annual sales targets, channel development, and brand planning of the company's halal seasoning products across Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
  2. Establish and manage a comprehensive overseas channel network covering distributors, importers, restaurant chains, supermarkets, halal specialty stores, and cross-border e-commerce platforms, while implementing agent tier management and price control systems.
  3. Conduct research on food preferences, market regulations, tariff policies, and halal regulations in Southeast Asian and Middle Eastern countries, and provide reverse recommendations for product formulation, specifications, and packaging localization improvements.
  4. Lead brand promotion activities, including Ramadan and Hari Raya marketing campaigns, industry exhibitions, local social media marketing, and collaborations with KOLs, to build the brand influence of Halal Seasonings.
  5. Possess a thorough understanding of JAKIM Halal certification and market entry requirements in various countries, and oversee halal compliance risk management throughout the entire value chain, including product labeling, production, warehousing, and export operations.
  6. Build and develop the local marketing team, coordinate with factory production and sales planning, oversee orders, inventory, and capacity allocation, and take full responsibility for overall sales revenue, gross profit, and market share.
  7. Liaise with overseas key accounts, industry associations, and relevant government authorities, conduct business negotiations, integrate resources, and establish long-term strategic partnerships.

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree or above in Marketing, Food Science, International Trade, Business Administration, or related disciplines.
  2. More than 10 years of marketing experience in the food or seasoning industry, with at least 5 years of full-scale export market management experience covering both Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
  3. In-depth knowledge of the JAKIM Halal certification system, halal market entry requirements in various countries, import/export customs clearance and registration procedures, and a strong understanding of Muslim culture and business sensitivities.
  4. Fluent in business English and proficient in Malay. Basic Chinese language skills and the ability to communicate effectively with headquarters in China or Hong Kong will be an advantage.
  5. Possess an established network of high-quality importers, distributors, supermarket chains, and food service channels in Southeast Asia and the Middle East, with proven successful experience in building overseas market presence for factory brands from the ground up.
  6. Strong strategic thinking capability, leadership skills, experience in team management, policy development, channel management, pressure handling, and result-oriented execution, with a solid and trustworthy professional reputation.
  7. Candidates with overseas working experience in Chinese-invested food companies and familiarity with the mushroom-based and fermentation flavor-enhancer seasoning sector will be preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive annual remuneration package (MYR 35,000 – MYR 50,000 per month), plus sales commission and market development incentives.
