About the Role

HireNow Staffing is seeking an Eminent Domain Litigation Attorney to join one of our respected law firm clients with a strong reputation for handling complex real estate and land use disputes. This is an excellent opportunity for a litigation attorney who thrives in the courtroom, values strategic advocacy, and is passionate about representing property owners, developers, or government entities in eminent domain and land valuation matters.

The ideal candidate is an analytical, persuasive litigator with strong written and oral advocacy skills, a deep understanding of real property law, and the ability to manage multiple cases from pre-suit evaluation through trial and appeal.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in all phases of eminent domain, condemnation, and inverse condemnation litigation.

  • Conduct detailed property evaluations, including title research, appraisals, and valuation assessments.

  • Draft and argue motions, pleadings, discovery requests, and appellate briefs.

  • Lead negotiations and mediations related to property valuation, access rights, and just compensation.

  • Collaborate with real estate experts, engineers, appraisers, and other specialists to strengthen case strategy.

  • Attend depositions, hearings, and trials, delivering confident, persuasive advocacy in court.

  • Advise clients on eminent domain strategy, regulatory implications, and risk mitigation.

  • Maintain strong client relationships built on trust, responsiveness, and consistent results.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates who meet or exceed the following qualifications will be prioritized for interviews:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school.

  • Active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (preferably within the same state as the firm's office).

  • 5+ years of litigation experience, ideally with direct exposure to eminent domain, land use, or real property disputes.

  • Proven success handling bench and jury trials or complex motion practice.

  • Strong command of valuation methodologies, real estate appraisals, and property rights law.

  • Exceptional research and writing abilities, with meticulous attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload with precision, meeting deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

  • Experience with state and federal eminent domain statutes and local land development regulations is highly preferred.
