About the Role
In this role, you'll be managing a diverse caseload of tort litigation matters from initial intake through resolution. You'll have the autonomy to drive your cases forward while working within a collaborative legal team that values strategic thinking, client service, and courtroom advocacy. The position requires sharp analytical skills, a thorough understanding of tort law, and the ability to manage multiple matters at once with professionalism and confidence.
What You'll Be Doing

Handling a range of tort litigation cases, including claims of negligence, negligent hiring/supervision, premises liability, and related matters.

Managing each phase of litigation pleadings, discovery, depositions, law and motion, and trial preparation.

Conducting in-depth legal research and writing motions, oppositions, and briefs with precision and clarity.

Taking depositions, preparing witnesses, and contributing to trial strategy.

Collaborating with internal legal staff while maintaining ownership of assigned cases.

Managing client expectations through consistent communication and results-driven action.
What We're Looking For

3 to 5+ years of litigation experience, ideally with an emphasis on tort and personal injury law.

Demonstrated experience drafting motions, managing discovery, and participating in court proceedings.

Excellent writing, research, and verbal communication skills.

Ability to handle a full caseload in a high-performance, deadline-driven environment.

Public entity defense experience is highly valued but not mandatory.

Active member of the California Bar, in good standing.
