About the Opportunity:
HireNow Staffing is actively seeking four experienced and dependable Cooks to join the kitchen team of a local long-term care facility in Auburn, WA. What You'll Do:

• Prepare, cook, and serve meals in accordance with pre-planned menus and dietary requirements specific to residents in a skilled nursing facility.

• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures with precision, including proper food storage and temperature checks.

• Assist with meal plating, portion control, and special dietary modifications (e.g., pureed, low-sodium, diabetic-friendly meals).

• Coordinate with dietary aides and nursing staff to ensure meal service runs smoothly.

• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including equipment, prep stations, and dish areas.

• Accurately follow recipes and menu guides while ensuring timely meal preparation during both breakfast/lunch and dinner shifts.

• Participate in kitchen cleaning schedules and compliance with health inspections and facility standards.

What We're Looking For:

• Local candidates only (must be available to work on-site in Auburn, WA).

• Proven experience as a cook or line cook in a nursing home, hospital, senior living, or healthcare setting (at least 1-2 years preferred).

• Strong understanding of food preparation for specialized diets (e.g., low salt, mechanical soft, etc.).

• Ability to work both early morning and afternoon/evening shifts (rotating schedule).

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen.

• A valid Food Handlers Permit (Washington State required).

• Must be reliable, punctual, and professional in communication and hygiene.
