Position Overview
HireNow Staffing is partnering with an established and highly respected CPA firm to identify a Tax Senior who is ready to take the next step in their public accounting career.

This is a fully onsite role in Lincolnshire, IL, offering meaningful mentorship, partner visibility, and long-term growth potential.
Key Responsibilities
As a Tax Senior, you will play a central role in supporting the firms expanding tax practice. Responsibilities include:

Preparing a high volume of federal and multi-state tax returns, including:
-
Individual (1040)
-
Partnerships (1065)
-
S-Corporations (1120-S)
-
Trusts and Estates (1041)
-
-
Managing tax engagements from preparation through completion, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
-
Supporting compliance and planning work for closely held businesses and high-net-worth individuals
-
Assisting with client correspondence, tax notices, document requests, and follow-up needs
-
Beginning to review returns prepared by junior staff members as readiness allows
-
Maintaining organized workpapers and adhering to firm deadlines and quality standards

Participating in professional development and ongoing technical training
Required Qualifications (Must Be Met)
To be considered, candidates must meet the following core requirements:

3–6 years of recent public accounting tax experience
-
Strong hands-on preparation background across both individual and business returns
-
Exposure to multi-state taxation and compliance work
-
Ability to manage workload effectively during peak tax season
-
Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work
-
Stable employment history and long-term interest in firm growth
Preferred Qualifications (Highly Valued)
