Key Responsibilities

As a 4th Class Power Engineer, you will:

• Operate and monitor boilers, refrigeration units, air compressors, and other plant utilities to ensure reliable performance

• Perform scheduled inspections, routine maintenance, and minor repairs on equipment and systems

• Respond to alarms, troubleshoot issues, and take corrective actions to prevent downtime or safety risks

• Maintain accurate logs, reports, and records in compliance with regulatory requirements

• Support continuous improvement efforts to optimize energy use and system performance

• Work collaboratively with other maintenance and operations personnel to maintain a safe and efficient work environment

• Ensure all work adheres to Work Safe BC and Technical Safety BC standards

Candidate Requirements

• Valid 4th Class Power Engineer Certificate of Competency (BC)

• Previous experience in an industrial, food processing, or manufacturing environment preferred

• Strong understanding of boiler operation, refrigeration systems, and safety procedures

• Ability to work independently while being a reliable member of a team

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Willingness to work shifts as required by the facility's operations schedule
