About the Role

Our team is building a fitness-based walking game that turns everyday steps into an adventureand were looking for a QA Game Tester to help us ensure smooth gameplay, accurate step tracking, and seamless integration across devices.
This role is perfect for someone who loves games, has a sharp eye for detail, and is excited to contribute to a high-impact product in the health and wellness space.

What You'll Be Doing
- Manual Game Testing: Test a fitness-based mobile game on various devices and platforms, ensuring accurate step tracking, consistent gameplay, and health app integrations (Apple Health / Google Health Connect).
- Bug Reporting: Log, categorize, and prioritize bugs using tools like Jira, documenting issues clearly for the development team.
- QA Process Execution: Follow structured QA plans and help improve test cases as features evolvecovering gameplay functionality, debug tools, and hardware interactions.
- Device & Environment Testing: Simulate real-world user behavior (e.g., walking, shaking, multitasking) to test edge cases and verify app performance.
- Team Collaboration: Coordinate with the team during PST hours, reporting progress and collaborating through Slack and internal tools.
Who You Need to Be
- Experience testing mobile games or apps, ideally in a QA or manual testing capacity
- Proficient in bug tracking and QA documentation (e.g., Jira or similar tools)
- Meticulous and detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently and maintain alignment with remote teams
- Bonus: Familiarity with Unity or experience testing Unity-based apps
