Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper/Accountant with a strong background in U.S. accounting standards and bookkeeping practices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, and supporting overall financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite).

Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bookkeeping tasks including recording transactions, reconciling bank and credit card statements, and managing A/P and A/R.

Prepare and post journal entries and ensure proper documentation.

Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.

Prepare financial reports such as P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

Ensure compliance with U.S. tax laws and GAAP.

Support external accountants during audits and tax filings.

Maintain and organize financial documents and records.

Communicate with clients, vendors, and team members regarding financial matters.
Qualifications:

Minimum of 23 years of hands-on bookkeeping or accounting experience with U.S. businesses.

Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and standard bookkeeping practices.

Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks Online/Desktop is preferred).

Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

CPA or equivalent certification (a plus, but not required).
Preferred Skills:

Experience working with U.S.-based clients or companies.

Knowledge of U.S. tax forms (e.g., 1099s, sales tax, etc.).

Familiarity with payroll systems and reporting (e.g., ADP, Gusto).
