Job Summary:

The Senior Accountant / Controller will own the company’s core accounting operations end-to-end, with a primary focus on stabilizing and maintaining accurate, timely financial records. This role is responsible for ensuring consistent monthly closes, clean reconciliations, and reliable financial reporting. It is a hands-on, execution-focused position designed for a detail-oriented accounting professional who thrives in structured, accountability-driven environments and can operate independently in a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and execute the monthly close process, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness

  • Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including invoicing, collections, and vendor payments

  • Maintain the general ledger with proper classification, documentation, and audit readiness

  • Perform bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations on a regular cadence

  • Prepare and review monthly financial statements, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and US-based reporting practices

  • Partner with leadership to resolve historical accounting issues and improve data accuracy

  • Coordinate with external vendors for payroll, tax filings, and audit support as needed

  • Use accounting systems such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar to manage financial data

  • Build and maintain supporting schedules and reports using Google Sheets or Excel

  • Manage expense tracking and AP workflows using relevant tools and systems

  • Communicate clearly with stakeholders via Slack, Google Meet, and Zoom

  • Identify process gaps and implement improvements to increase efficiency and reduce errors

  • Support ad hoc financial reporting and analysis requests from leadership

  • Operate independently with strong ownership, attention to detail, and accountability in a remote environment

Shift Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, flexible working hours with some overlap required with US business hours.
