About This Role:
Were hiring a strategic, technically strong Senior CPA to join one of our U.S. tax & accounting clients in a leadership role. This position is perfect for someone who thrives in complex U.S. tax work, enjoys leading a remote team, and values building long-term client partnerships. Youll handle advanced tax prep and planning, review financial reporting, and support business owners and high-net-worth clients across the U.S.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review complex U.S. tax returns (individual, business, trust, estate, etc.)
Ensure tax compliance across federal, state, and local levels
Review and coach junior tax/accounting staff
Conduct technical sign-offs and tax reviews
Develop customized tax planning strategies for clients
Oversee monthly financial reporting and quality control
Collaborate on financial cleanup and optimization projects
Lead internal training and knowledge-sharing initiatives
Provide technical insights and advice to clients
Maintain high accuracy, accountability, and data integrity
Software/Platforms/Tools:
Drake, Lacerte, UltraTax, ProConnect, or any US-based professional tax preparation software
QuickBooks Online
Xero
Google Workspace
Workflow management and client portals
CCH, Bloomberg Tax, or similar tax research tools
Qualifications:
At least 7-10 years of freelancing experience
Active CPA license (required)
2+ years of direct U.S. tax prep and advisory experience
Excellent English communication skills (C1/C2 level)
Demonstrated leadership experience managing tax/accounting teams
Strong technical knowledge in U.S. federal and state tax law
Proficiency in GAAP-compliant financial reporting
Experience advising entrepreneurs, real estate investors, or HNWIs
Detail-oriented with strong ethical standards
Open to future U.S. travel (visa support may be offered)

Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM US EST
