About This Role:
We are hiring a Retention Manager to support a fast-growing global eCommerce brand, focused on the technical and analytical side of lifecycle marketing. This role owns the structure, logic, and experimentation behind email and SMS in Klaviyo—building scalable flows, segmentation, and testing frameworks that improve customer lifetime value, repeat purchases, and engagement. This is not a copywriting role; content is handled internally. Instead, you’ll act as the technical owner and strategic tester, partnering closely with internal stakeholders to execute a disciplined retention testing roadmap.
Key Responsibilities:
Own hands-on execution of email and SMS retention in Klaviyo
Build, optimize, and maintain lifecycle flows (welcome, post-purchase, win-back, replenishment, etc.)
Develop and execute structured testing strategies across segmentation, timing, offers, and flow logic
Monitor performance and translate insights into clear optimizations
Partner with internal teams to align retention efforts with broader growth and brand goals
Maintain strong data hygiene, segmentation logic, and documentation within Klaviyo
Software/Platforms/Tools:
Klaviyo (advanced, hands-on experience required)
Shopify or similar eCommerce platforms
Google Sheets and Google Docs
Analytics and reporting tools
Project management and collaboration tools (Asana, Monday.com, or similar)
Qualifications:
3–5 years of freelancing experience
3–6+ years of experience in email, lifecycle, or retention marketing for eCommerce or DTC brands
Strong technical expertise in Klaviyo (flows, segmentation, testing, analytics)
Experience building experimentation and testing frameworks
Data-driven, structured, and comfortable with execution
Excellent English communication skills (C1 or C2 level)
Experience with high-growth or global eCommerce brands is a plus
Shift Schedule:
Monday to Friday, with some overlap with US business hours preferred
