An emerging "Native AI" enterprise operations firm is currently scaling its high-velocity engineering team to pioneer the field of Workflow Intelligence. Operating at the intersection of deep system integration and advanced machine learning, the company builds mission-critical infrastructure that provides organizations with unprecedented visibility into internal processes to optimize human capital and automate complex workstreams. As they approach a major global launch in early 2026, this engineering-heavy startup is seeking founding-level talent dedicated to clean architecture and solving non-trivial technical challenges within a fast-paced, high-ownership environment.

About the Role

As a DevOps & Security Engineer, you will be the primary architect and guardian of the infrastructure—a workforce and workflow intelligence platform designed to revolutionize how teams operate. This is a high-impact, foundational role where you will bridge the gap between rapid product development and institutional-grade stability.

Our client is scaling quickly, and needs a systems-thinker who can evolve our cloud environment into a more secure, observable, and cost-efficient ecosystem. You will work closely with the founding team and engineering department to ensure that as our platform grows, our infrastructure remains fast, resilient, and impenetrable. Whether it’s designing isolated multi-tenant environments for enterprise clients or automating our entire deployment flow, you will have a direct hand in shaping the backbone of our technology.

What You’ll Do

• Architect & Scale Infrastructure: Lead the deployment, monitoring, and automated scaling of our environment across major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

• Strengthen Security Posture: Drive initiatives for data protection, encryption, and proactive threat detection to maintain the highest levels of trust and reliability.

• Streamline CI/CD: Build and manage robust containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless, version-controlled deployment flows.

• Infrastructure as Code: Utilize Terraform and Ansible to ensure our entire infrastructure is reproducible, scalable, and fully documented.

• Design for Enterprise: Develop and implement isolated multi-tenant architectures tailored to the security and performance needs of enterprise-level customers.

• Performance Monitoring: Own the creation of performance dashboards and alerting systems to ensure maximum uptime and immediate response to system health issues.

• Strategic Migration: Partner with the engineering team to plan and execute migrations toward more efficient and secure cloud architectures.

• Compliance & Audits: Support ongoing security reviews and lead the preparation for compliance frameworks and third-party audits.

About you

You are a systems-oriented engineer who thrives at the intersection of security and scalability. You don’t just fix problems—you build automated systems to prevent them from happening in the first place. You are likely a good fit for this role if you possess the following:

• Cloud Expert: You have a deep, professional background in managing complex cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and know how to optimize these environments for both performance and cost.

• Automation Advocate: You have a "bottleneck-averse" mindset. You are highly proficient in CI/CD, container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes), and managing infrastructure through code (Terraform/Ansible).

• Security-First Mentality: Security isn’t an afterthought for you; it’s a core requirement. You have a sophisticated understanding of encryption, access control, and modern threat detection strategies.

• Proactive Problem Solver: You are comfortable making "tough calls" when it comes to reliability and safety. You don’t wait for a system to fail to improve it; you are constantly looking for ways to increase resilience.

• Strategic & Collaborative: You enjoy working directly with founders and developers. You can translate high-level business needs into technical infrastructure requirements and enjoy the fast-paced nature of a scaling startup.

• Detail-Oriented: You take pride in the "hidden" work—meticulous monitoring, clear documentation, and ensuring that every deployment is as stable as the last.
