Position Overview

We are seeking a Data Analytics Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable analytics solutions that empower data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role bridges data engineering and analytics, leveraging Databricks for our data lakehouse for data processing and transformation while delivering insights through Looker dashboards and semantic modeling. If you’re passionate about elevating data to drive key business decisions, this role is for you!

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and transformations in Databricks using SQL, Python, and Spark.
  • Develop and optimize ETL/ELT workflows to ingest data from APIs, SaaS platforms, and relational databases.

  • Implement medallion architecture (bronze/silver/gold) to deliver reliable, governed, analytics-ready data layers.

  • Optimize pipeline performance and cost efficiency through partitioning, file sizing, and query tuning.

  • Orchestrate and schedule workflows to ensure consistent, timely data availability.

  • Enforce data quality, lineage, and governance standards through validation checks and monitoring.

  • Develop and maintain data models optimized for analytics and reporting.

  • Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance across datasets and pipelines.

  • Develop and maintain Looker models (LookML) and dashboards to support operational and strategic decision-making.

  • Collaborate with analytics and business teams to model datasets for BI and self-service analytics.

  • Publish curated datasets and semantic models to support dashboard performance and metric consistency.

  • Translate business requirements into Looker metrics, dimensions, and dashboard logic to enable data-driven decision making.

Required Qualifications

  • 4–8+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data analytics, or data engineering roles.

  • Strong experience with Databricks (Spark, Delta Lake, notebooks).

  • Advanced SQL skills.

  • Experience with Python for data transformation and pipeline development.

  • Hands-on experience building dashboards and semantic layers in Looker (LookML).

  • Strong understanding of data modeling (star/snowflake schemas, dimensional modeling).

  • Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and workflow orchestration.

  • Ability to translate business requirements into data solutions and metrics frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with modern data stack tools (dbt, Airflow, Fivetran, etc.).

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

  • Knowledge of data governance and data cataloging tools.

  • Familiarity with machine learning pipelines or advanced analytics.

  • Experience supporting self-service analytics environments.
