Position Overview

Finalsite is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Program Manager, Product Operations. You will serve as the operational backbone for the Product & Engineering organization—building the systems and processes that transform strategy into predictable, high-quality execution.You will own the operational machinery that enables Product and Engineering teams and-cross partners to do their best work. You will design and run planning cadences, improve delivery predictability and health, and coach teams to operate at a high level of clarity, focus, and accountability.

What You’ll Do

Planning & Operational Infrastructure

  • Own and operate the planning schedule for Product & Engineering, including agile execution and strategic review sessions.

  • Build and maintain the systems that give leadership clear visibility into prioritization, delivery timelines, and portfolio health.

  • Prepare and coordinate materials for executive roadmap reviews, quarterly business reviews, and strategic planning sessions.

  • Implement lightweight governance that enables alignment without creating bureaucracy.


Agile Coaching & Delivery Excellence

  • Coach Product Managers, Engineering Managers, and teams on agile best practices, adapting frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, Lean) to team context.

  • Increase delivery predictability through better scoping, sequencing, and risk management.

  • Identify and resolve systemic bottlenecks and cross-team dependencies slowing product velocity.

  • Build and maintain dashboards that provide real-time visibility into delivery health, velocity trends, and capacity utilization.

  • Improve sprint planning, backlog hygiene, estimation, and effective retrospectives.

  • Track operational KPIs, such as cycle time, throughput, capacity and velocity, and releases.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational accountability.


Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Facilitate cross-functional decision-making forums, roadmap reviews, and priority alignment sessions, ensuring trade-offs are communicated to all stakeholders.

  • Ensure go-to-market plans developed by Product Marketing are executed with full cross-functional alignment.

  • Partner with teams to ensure measurable success criteria are defined before development begins.

  • Own client feedback processes and launch readiness checklists, ensuring teams are aligned on timelines, deliverables, and handoffs.


Tools, Enablement & Operational Maturity

  • Own and optimize product development tools (Jira, Confluence, Pendo, etc.), ensuring consistent configuration, adoption, and usage across teams.

  • Standardize documentation and communication best practices.

  • Develop onboarding resources that accelerate new team member ramp-up.

  • Drive operational maturity across product and engineering.


About You:

  • 6+ years of experience in Product Management, Product Operations, Agile Coaching, or related roles

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field; MBA or equivalent experience is a plus.

  • 3+ years coaching cross-functional product and engineering teams in agile environments

  • Demonstrated success improving delivery velocity and predictability in a startup or scale-up

  • Deep understanding of agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, Lean, continuous discovery) and the judgment to apply them pragmatically

  • Strong facilitation skills and ability to influence without authority

  • Systems thinker who can balance strategic planning with hands-on execution

  • Comfortable working in ambiguity and building processes from the ground up

  • Passion for education and a commitment to Finalsite's mission.


Bonus if you have:

  • Formal agile certifications (e.g., CSM, SAFe, ICP-ACC)

  • Experience in EdTech (K-12, Higher Ed, or B2B learning platforms), SaaS products, or both

  • Experience scaling multiple squads or product lines
