Happy Sleep expands access to medical care through biometric data insights. Our FDA-regulated Happy Ring device enables at-home sleep testing, connecting patients with care teams and physicians for personalized treatmentall from the comfort of home. We're a distributed team based in Austin, Texas (we keep meetings to US Central time), building healthcare technology that makes quality medical care more accessible.

About the Position
We need a Senior Fullstack Engineer to build and optimize our customer-facing platform. You'll focus on frontend experiencese-commerce flows, CMS integration, performance optimization, and analyticswhile ensuring HIPAA compliance and security for patient health information. This role directly impacts our ability to reach and serve patients seeking medical care.

What Youll Do

  • Build high-converting customer acquisition flows

  • Consolidate our frontend infrastructure into simpler, cleaner applications

  • Implement and maintain CMS infrastructure for rapid content iteration

  • Instrument analytics across the customer journey

  • Optimize website performance to industry-leading standards

  • Ensure HIPAA-compliant advertising and analytics integrations

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate healthcare requirements into intuitive experiences

  • Mentor engineers and contribute to technical strategy

  • Participate in on-call rotation for production systems

About You

  • 5+ years full-stack software engineering with several years of migration experience

  • Extremely strong knowledge of TypeScript

  • Experience with Next.js preferred

  • Modern React expertise: hooks, Context API, component composition patterns

  • E-commerce platform development

  • CMS integration, content modeling, and customer journey optimization

  • Website performance optimization (Core Web Vitals, Lighthouse, SSR/SSG)

  • Frontend observability: product analytics, error tracking, performance monitoring, KPI dashboards

  • Google Tag Manager implementation and Meta Ads pixel integration

  • Extremely strong knowledge of API design patterns

  • Modern CSS and responsive design across browsers and devices

  • Automated testing: unit (Jest/Vitest), integration, and E2E (Playwright/Cypress)

  • CI/CD pipeline implementation with automated test suites

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Curious learner and eager to problem solve

  • Strong collaborator - proven ability to work independently but with the right level of stakeholder engagement

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with headless CMS tools like Sanity.io or Contentful

  • Advanced integration with Amplitude for product metrics

  • Familiarity with observability tools such as Sentry and DataDog

  • Healthcare technology or regulated industries
