We are looking for a proactive, people-first, culture-driven HR Generalist to join our client, Alchi Design Studio. Alchi Design Studio is a fast-moving and collaborative software startup. (Fully Remote)
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-growth, dynamic environment and is passionate about building inclusive, engaged, and high-performing teams. The HR Generalist will support all core HR functions while actively shaping a thriving company culture and strengthening our employee experience from the ground up.
The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting a wide range of HR functions, ensuring the smooth operation of daily HR activities, and fostering a positive employee experience.
This position requires someone who can thrive in a tech-driven environment, is highly organized, and has a strong understanding of HR best practices.
Core Role:
As an HR Generalist, you will play a pivotal role in nurturing our startup culture and reinforcing our core values. Youll be the go-to person for employees and leaders alike, driving initiatives that promote collaboration, transparency, and psychological safety. You will support talent operations, foster team connection, champion DEIB (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging), and ensure that every employee feels heard, supported, and empowered to do their best work.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Culture & Employee Experience
Design and implement initiatives that foster a positive, inclusive, and psychologically safe workplace.
Lead culture-building efforts such as employee appreciation programs, team rituals, and wellness initiatives.
Gather employee feedback through surveys and check-ins and act on insights to improve engagement and satisfaction.
Champion a people-first mindset in all HR processes and communications.
2. Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
Own the end-to-end recruitment process with a focus on candidate experience, diversity, and team fit.
Partner with hiring managers to define roles, source creatively, and deliver a human-centered hiring process.
Build a memorable onboarding experience that integrates new hires into the culture and community from day one.
3. People Operations, Compliance and Leave Management (Critical)
Manage all types of employee leave, including vacation, sick, parental, unpaid, and special leaves.
Ensure compliance with local labor laws and internal policies regarding leave entitlements.
Maintain accurate records and reporting through the HRIS and ensure timely communication with
employees and managers.Provide empathetic guidance and support to employees navigating leave options and life events.
Work closely with payroll and leadership to manage transitions, handoffs, and continuity plans
during employee absences.
4. Team Building & Collaboration
Plan and coordinate team-building activities, offsites, and cross-functional initiatives to strengthen team cohesion.
Facilitate programs that support collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and continuous learning across departments.
Support employee resource groups and internal communities to encourage peer connection and inclusion.
5. Performance & Growth Support
Coordinate regular performance reviews, feedback loops, and goal-setting cycles in partnership with leadership.
Support personal and professional growth initiatives, mentoring programs, and internal mobility opportunities.
Help foster a feedback-rich environment that encourages coaching, recognition, and transparency.
6. Employee Advocacy & Support
Be a trusted point of contact for employee questions, concerns, and feedback.
Provide guidance on conflict resolution, career conversations, and personal development.
Help resolve issues in a way that aligns with both employee well-being and company values.
