Job Title:Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET Amdocs)
Location Remote
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test frameworks for complex enterprise systems in Amdocs environments (e.g., CES, CRM, BSS/OSS).
- Write reusable, scalable, and efficient test automation code using Java, Selenium, TestNG, REST Assured, or equivalent tools.
- Collaborate with developers, architects, and product owners to understand requirements, design effective test strategies, and ensure testability.
- Conduct functional, regression, performance, and integration testing across microservices and enterprise platforms.
- Develop automated API testing suites (SOAP & REST) for Amdocs services and integrations.
- Drive shift-left testing practices by integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Analyze test results, log defects, and provide actionable feedback to developers.
- Participate in test planning, test design, and documentation of test cases/scenarios.
- Support UAT and production validation in close coordination with DevOps and delivery teams.
- Ensure compliance with telecom-grade SLAs and quality standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 48 years of experience as an SDET, Automation Engineer, or QA Engineer in enterprise software development.
- Strong hands-on experience in Java, Selenium, TestNG, JMeter, and/or REST Assured.
- Experience testing large-scale platforms, preferably with Amdocs systems (CES, CRM, Order Management, Catalog, etc.).
- Solid understanding of QA best practices, testing methodologies (TDD/BDD), and SDLC.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, Maven/Gradle, and Docker.
- Familiarity with databases (SQL, Oracle), Unix/Linux environments, and telecom domain standards.
- Ability to analyze logs, troubleshoot test failures, and work closely with developers for issue resolution.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on Amdocs delivery projects or systems integration.
- Knowledge of telecom business processes (billing, charging, provisioning, etc.).
- Familiarity with test management tools like JIRA, Zephyr, or ALM.
- Exposure to performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner) and monitoring solutions.
- ISTQB or other QA/testing certifications.
