Responsibilities:

  • Define and manage the integrated vehicle model infrastructure for simulation and Real-Time applications.
  • Develop and maintain model versioning and parameterisation management processes.
  • Define, develop, and maintain model interfaces to ensure smooth integration across systems.
  • Perform high-fidelity model reduction techniques (e.g., lumping of masses and volumes, timestep optimisation, simplification, mapping) to enable Real-Time simulation.
  • Develop accurate sensor and actuator models for virtual testing and system validation.
  • Integrate and troubleshoot models within Real-Time platforms and fully integrated vehicle simulation environments.
  • Coordinate and manage external suppliers for outsourced modelling and integration activities.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an automotive OEM or automotive engineering services company.
  • Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Strong expertise in vehicle systems and powertrain modelling.

  • Experience with Real-Time platforms such as dSPACE, SpeedGoat, Concurrent, or equivalent.
  • Excellent command of MATLAB/Simulink for model development and simulation.

  • Advanced knowledge of CAE system modelling tools such as GT-Suite and Simscape.
  • Familiarity with distributed version control systems (e.g., Git).

  • Experience in both experimental testing and simulation techniques applied to automotive development.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Capable of synthesising complex technical inputs for presentation to senior management.
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • High attention to detail, flexibility, and the capacity to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Curiosity and an innovative mindset to explore and apply new methods and technologies.
