Key Responsibilities:

Data Pipeline Development

  • Design and implement cloud-native pipelines for structured and unstructured data, integrating sources such as APIs, FTP/SFTP.
  • Build high-performance batch and streaming pipelines with integrated monitoring and alerting systems to support analytical use cases.

Data Management

  • Manage large-scale, complex datasets aligned with business needs.

  • Support metadata management and contribute to data governance efforts.

  • Develop and run data quality tests covering both functional and non-functional aspects.

Data Modelling & Optimization

  • Design database objects such as views, tables, and procedures to support data analytics.
  • Optimize SQL queries and data models for performance and efficiency.

Operational Support & Collaboration

  • Support production systems including troubleshooting and user support.

  • Collaborate with analysts, developers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver value-driven solutions.

Continuous Improvement

  • Follow architectural and coding standards to ensure maintainability.

  • Continuously evolve and optimize the platforms scalability and performance.

  • Stay current with emerging tools, frameworks, and practices in data engineering.

Your Profile

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., S3, Lambda, ECS, RDS, SNS/SQS, IAM, CloudWatch).
  • Advanced SQL programming skills and familiarity with analytical and non-relational databases.
  • Proficiency in Python and libraries such as Pandas and Boto3.

  • Strong understanding of modern data architecture and governance best practices.

Valuable Additional Experience:

  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD practices and orchestration tools (e.g., Step Functions, Airflow, Prefect).
  • Experience with version control tools such as GitHub or GitLab.

  • Knowledge of data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau).

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).

  • AWS and/or Snowflake certifications are a plus.

Soft Skills & Working Style:
