Summary

As a business partner of the group senior leadership and management, you will lead the financial operations and strategy of a group of companies. You should have a proven track record of financial management, accounting, and budgeting in a complex and dynamic environment. You should also have strong communication and leadership skills to inspire and motivate your team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the financial operations and strategy of a group of companies
  • Establish and implement financial policies and procedures that align with the business objectives
  • Direct and supervise the accounting and finance teams
  • Review and approve financial reports and forecasts
  • Manage cash flow and optimize budgets
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards
  • Analyze financial data and provide strategic advice to senior management
  • Build and maintain relationships with investors and other stakeholders
  • Define the objectives, scope and expected outcomes of the change initiative for the finance team and align them with the organizational vision and strategy
  • Develop a detailed change plan that outlines the roles and responsibilities of the finance team and other stakeholders, the timeline and milestones, the resources and budget, and the success criteria and evaluation methods
  • Communicate the change plan to the finance team and other departments through various channels, such as meetings, emails, newsletters, etc., and solicit their input and feedback
  • Ensure that the finance team and other departments understand and adhere to the standards and procedures for streamlining and automating financial processes, and provide them with the necessary tools and support
  • Assess the effectiveness and efficiency of the financial processes on a regular basis, using quantitative and qualitative indicators, and identify areas for improvement
  • Provide training and coaching sessions to the finance team to enhance their skills and competencies in managing change, and foster a positive change culture within the team
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges that may arise during the change process, such as resistance, conflicts, errors, delays, etc., and resolve them promptly and professionally
  • Recommend and lead the implementation ERP systems to improve financial reporting and analysis
  • Strengthen and enhance internal controls and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and mitigate risks
  • Support merger and acquisition activities by conducting due diligence, providing financial analysis, and advising on financing options
  • Act as a financial advisor to board members by providing insights on financial performance, risks, opportunities, KPI metrics tracking, treasury management, CAPEX, OPEX efficiency enhancement etc.
  • Monitor KPI metrics for finance departments such as liquidity, funding, financial risk management, corporate governance etc.
  • Improve the capabilities and efficiency of key finance activities such as treasury management, CAPEX, OPEX etc.

Requirements

  • Degree holder in Finance or related discipline with recognized professional qualification.
  • 15+years of finance experience in group company. CPA or ACCA holder.
  • Experience in wide scope of business including trading, property investment etc in China & overseas.
  • Familiar with China GAAP, HK GAAP and relevant international regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
  • Strategic thinking with strong commercial acumen.
  • Strong leadership skills, self-motivated, able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Highly independent, initiative, stable character and tactful manner.
  • Fluent English is a must.
  • Occasionally travel required.
