Job Summary

The Financial Controller leads all day-to-day accounting operations with functional responsibility for accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general finance administration. Responsibilities also include production of financial reports, maintenance of accounts records, accurate processing of financial transactions and administration of a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk and enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results.

Responsibilities

Reporting:

• Prepare monthly reports for the Group Financial Controller on company financials and provide relevant Department Managers with the necessary financial and management information to assist them in monitoring and achieving their KPIs.
• Develop, implement and maintain appropriate standards and procedures for the company's tax requirements, including VAT, Income tax, payroll taxes, transfer pricing, withholdings taxes and any others that may apply.
• Oversee internal compliance reporting and the company's contracts, leases and insurance program.
• Assist in the preparation of annual operating budgets. Review/prepare reports/presentations as required by HQ.

Accounting:

• Review of all month-end reporting activities.
• Oversee the data integrity within the accounting system, including interfaces with external operating systems.
• Manage the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions and ensure the company's cash flow forecasts are achieved.

Financial planning analytics:

• Assist the Group Financial Controller in the budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning process.
• Lead real-time financial performance monitoring.
• Conduct efficiency reviews and advise on appropriate strategies to achieve improved results.
• Assist the Group Financial Controller in enhancing and improving business and financial reporting, including profitability analysis of key business strategies.
• Preparation of modelling for financial forecasting, including cash flow forecasts, and company scorecard.

People Leadership/Other:

• Manage the Finance team and outsourced partners, ensuring strong communication of roles, responsibilities, and expectations.
• Promote the company's vision to ensure corporate and individual targets are achieved.

Compliance:

• Prepare and assist with developing internal audit schedules.
• improvements in process to increase organisational effectiveness.
• Manage the development, maintenance, and revision of policies and procedures for the Management Systems and SOPs and their related activities to ensure they continue to be relevant and provide effective management, customer satisfaction, and ensure the meeting of QA requirements (ISO9001)

Requirements

• Graduate qualified and or equivalent experience.
• Qualified Accountant, audit firm background/auditing experience.
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles and familiarity with China rules and regulations.
• Proven track record in finance management, career achievement /progression and people management experience.
• Software competencies including WMS, MYOB, MS Office.
• Excellent communication in English & Chinese (Mandarin), and numeracy skills.
• Flexible and adaptable to fast-paced, changing environments.
• Persuasive with the ability to negotiate when required.
• China work exposure is required.
