Job Summary

  • Work with internal stakeholders to drive the group’s digital transformation and innovation to enhance the group’s effectiveness and competitiveness.
  • Oversee & manage the entire group’s strategic and operational information technology activities and Group IT supporting function to ensure effective & efficient enterprise and business process IT systems and support are available across the group.
  • Drive & lead the entire planning, designing & implementation of the group’s IT infrastructure & enterprise information management; including identifying and working with IT vendors to select a new IT enterprise-wide information system, ensure cost-effectiveness and efficiency of the system to support all business and functional operational needs and that system adopted would be able to meet the current & future IT system requirements of the group.
  • Ensure selection of a sustainable integrated IT enterprise-wide information system that interlinks all business operational and functional management processes across the group, taking into account the group’s strategic direction and objectives for growth and expansion.
  • Drive, plan, lead, direct and train Group IT team in daily management of IT functional activities, in efficiently serving users, in rolling-out systems to ensure successful and on-time implementation, and in providing continuous and efficient support on an on-going basis.
  • Overall responsibility of the Group IT team’s performance, efficiency of the function and the selection and application of IT systems across the group.

Responsibilities

  • Member of leadership team and work with senior management to efficiently manage the IT function of the group.
  • Identify and provides strategic & tactical, planning, development, implementation, evaluation, and coordination of the information and technology systems for the group.
  • Establish Group IT functional goal, objectives and operating procedures to meet overall group’s strategies.
  • Evaluate the performance and level of services of IT vendors, including analysing and costing of fees charges by vendors against the external market practises for management reporting.
  • Lead in the selection of Enterprise-wide Information System.
  • Direct, coach and manage IT team to provide professional services to the group and duties of the team.
  • Establish yearly goals and objectives of the Group IT function to be in line with group’s objectives to be approved by senior & top management.
  • Keep abreast of IT changes and trends of IT management across the world through exchanging of information with external IT professionals and update information to management.
  • Drive and perform regular meetings across the group to discuss IT related issues, to report IT management activities, projects and results and to agree on action plans to resolve issues or to roll-out IIT plans.

Requirements

  • Degree in IT, MIS, computer science, business administration or a related filed, MBA is an advantage.
  • Project Management certificate such as PMP certification preferred.
  • Minimum 18 years of solid broad-based general management and IT management experience; direct management of major IT operation at group level & proven experience as an effective leader of IT change in a demanding and fast-paced environment.
  • Strategic thinker, business savvy and IT technically sophisticated management professional.
  • Operations, infrastructure, data security, disaster recovery, contingency planning and security management experience.
  • Hotel reservation; restaurant, property, retail management, financial management, HR and payroll, procurement, customer database management and other organizational process and system application experience desirable.
  • Excellent relationship management, influencing and collaboration skills, ability to present and discuss technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, gains understanding and influences decision makers.
