Position Summary
As an experienced Senior Associate you will have the opportunity to build a successful career in an achievement-oriented yet supportive environment.

You will advise companies, institutions, shareholders, boards and senior management on matters requiring not only technical legal expertise, but also practical and commercially focused problem solving.
You will work in an international law firm and enjoy the challenge of taking ownership of matters, working directly with clients and exercising sound commercial judgment, while seeking guidance and support as required.
The role involves a broad mix of M&A, corporate, commercial and strategic advisory work, often involving complex transactions, governance issues, restructurings and other business-critical situations.
Working alongside specialists from across the firm, you will help clients navigate both transactional and contentious matters requiring commercial judgment, strategic thinking and practical problem solving.
We are looking for an exceptional lawyer who combines strong technical skills with intellectual curiosity, sound judgment, commercial awareness and the ability to navigate situations where there is no obvious path forward.
Qualifications & Knowledge
You will have:
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and judgment skills
- The ability to identify practical solutions to complex legal and commercial problems
- An entrepreneurial and intellectually curious approach to client service
- Developed M&A skills and deep experience in general corporate and commercial matters
- Ability to build and manage client relationships
- Strong commercial awareness and drafting skills
- 5+ years of post-qualification legal experience
- Qualified in Hong Kong or another common law jurisdiction
- Strong fluency in English
- Enjoy working directly with boards, senior management, shareholders and business owners
- Are comfortable operating in complex or high-stakes situations where there may be no obvious path forward
- Bring a strong understanding of accounting, business, financial and commercial issues
- Have prior business experience
- Are comfortable engaging directly with sophisticated clients and taking ownership of client relationships
