About the job AVP, Risk and Compliance (insurance)
A Leading life insurance company is looking for a seaoned risk management professional to support the conduct risk program within her Compliance Function.
Responsibilities:
Create and embed an overarching risk governance framework and standards to effectively report on conduct and fraud risks
Generate comprehensive risk reporting for senior leadership, risk committees, and the Board
Spearhead the resolution of complex conduct and fraud risk challenges across the Asian markets
Provide in-depth risk reporting and analysis to executive stakeholders
Lead a comprehensive review of conduct and fraud risks across Asia, including trend analysis
Oversee all risk issues and track remediation actions in all markets
Draft conduct and fraud risk-related policies, guidelines, and standards
Partner with Business Units to enhance their conduct risk governance practices
Collaborate with various functions to implement a conduct and fraud risk oversight program
Standardize the approach to risk management and reporting across Asia, aligning to global practices
Foster a high-performing, inclusive team through effective talent management
Embody the organization's core values and BOLDER behaviors
Act as the Asia reporting manager to the Chief Compliance Officer in other region
Requirements:
Min. 10 years of experience in conduct and fraud risk management, preferably in the financial services industry
Proven track record of developing and implementing robust risk governance frameworks
Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence senior leaders
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated people management experience and a collaborative leadership style
Strong understanding of conduct and fraud risk management, and experience developing global reporting and conduct analytic tool to proactive detect and monitor the risks.
Strong data knowledge and aggregation capabilities in support of management reporting
Understanding of the role of an Integrated Risk Management Tool in facilitating a risk program; experience with RSA Archer is an asset
Understanding of regulatory compliance and risk management principles as they apply to financial services
Insurance Compliance experience. Sound knowledge of insurance market conduct and fraud issues in Asian markets
Self-motivation and proactive nature, with strong problem-solving abilities to effectively prioritize in a diverse and fast paced environment
Ability to anticipate and spot potential conduct and fraud issues through trends and analyses
Organizational savvy and ability to navigate and lead cross-functionally within a complex and matrixed organization
