Department Head, Credit Card Operations (Banking)

A fast-growing local Chinese Bank with strong presence across Hong Kong, China & overseas is looking for a high-calibre Department Head to be accountable for the overall operations of the Credit Card Centre.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee AML transactions monitoring and ensure smooth operations of Authorization, Security and Collection teams
  • Conduct and analyze data analysis to understand current fraud trend and recommend action plan to mitigate the fraud losses
  • Develop and educate merchants the proper procedures in card acceptance and raise their alertness to fraudulent card activities
  • Make sound decision on over-limit or problem authorization transactions within delegated authority; attain and maintain a low credit and fraud loss rate by setting up preventive measures and conducting investigation on fraudulent activities such as application frauds, collusion, money laundering, lost & stolen, counterfeit card transactions
  • Develop and implement a strategy to improve the collection of outstanding credit, review collection policies and procedures to avoid excessive outstanding credit
  • Ensure adherence & compliance to all internal policies/guidelines and external regulatory requirements

Requirements:

  • Degree holder major in Banking and Finance, Business Administration or related disciplines
  • Minimum 10 years of experience related to credit card management and possess sound knowledge of credit card products and services
  • Sound knowledge on Codes & Conduct of regulatory bodies, for instance, Code of Banking Practice, HKMA Supervisory Policy manual (SPM, AML/CTF guidelines, PDPO, etc.) and Rules and Regulations of the Card Associations, e.g., Visa, MasterCard and UnionPay, etc.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of fraud trend and related market information as well as the products and services provided by the banks
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and people management skills to deal with various levels of staff, peers and other departments
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese including Mandarin
