Team Head, Senior Financial Accounting Manager (Banking)

A fast-growing China-based Bank with its Group Company listed in Hong Kong is looking for a high-calibre Team Head, supervising Accounts Management Team.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Management & Accounts Payable Team of the Accounting Division, coordinate work arrangements, and develop team spirit
• Supervise the work execution of subordinates, provide appropriate guidance, and lead them to solve work difficulties to ensure timely completion of various tasks and work plans
• Responsible for reviewing the job descriptions and job descriptions of subordinate staff, setting performance appraisal targets, and reviewing the performance of subordinate staff, and providing feedback and guidance
• Establish appropriate business authority for subordinates to ensure that all financial accounting work is performed within a controlled level of risk
• Manage the general ledger system to ensure consistency of accounting practices
• Supervise the financial accounting work, and establish and improve accounting systems, procedures, and controls in accordance with the requirements of accounting standards and relevant accounting regulatory requirements
• Follow up on the development of accounting standards and related accounting regulatory requirements, assess the impact on accounting in conjunction with the Bank's development strategies, provide analytical advice to management and make appropriate adjustments to the Bank's accounting policies and related bookkeeping practices
• Oversee the implementation and enforcement of the accounting system by all units to ensure that the Bank's accounts give a true and fair view of the business
• Manage the payment of administrative expenses and control the related cost expenditures in accordance with the approved expense budget amount
• Participate in the construction of internal control measures on cost control to improve cost effectiveness
• Coordinate with business development and management needs to streamline business processes and control operational risks
• Participate in the construction of accounting-related computer systems to improve the quality of accounting and strengthen accounting controls

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree holder in Accountancy, Finance or related disciplines with professional qualification in HKICPA/ACCA or equivalent

• At least 8 years finance or accounting experience at supervisory level or above in banking industry and with audit experience

• Familiarized with full sets of accounting rules & financial management systems of banking industry

• Multi-tasking, good team player, detail-minded, well-organized, self-motivated and able to work independently

• Proficiency in SAP, Word, Excel & Power-point and strong knowledge in Vlookup and Pivot Table is an advantage

• Proficiency in spoken and written English and Chinese (Mandarin)
