THE JOB

Reporting to the Assistant Information Technology Manager (Infrastructure), the Part-time Technical Support Officer will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Support, monitor and maintain IT infrastructure and network;
  • Support and manage IT systems, e.g. Windows Server, E-mail System, Database System, Patch Management System, Active Directory, VM System and SAN;
  • Perform the day-to-day operation of IT systems such as data backup, system monitoring and network administration;
  • Conduct infrastructure capacity and performance analysis and reviews;
  • Review, implement and deploy system upgrades, maintenance fixes, and vendor-supplied patches;
  • Responsible for system troubleshooting and performance turning;
  • Provide IT technical support and consultation services;
  • Provide comprehensive support and maintenance to various desktop PC and mobile devices;
  • Setup and perform system testing and evaluation on various peripherals and system software;
  • Providing IT training to users and maintaining proper system documentation; and
  • perform any other appropriate duties as assigned by senior staff

THE REQUIREMENTS

  • A recognised post-secondary diploma or a university degree in computer studies;
  • A minimum of 4 years relevant working experience;
  • Technical knowledge in network, security, server, and databases system;
  • Hands-on experience in infrastructure design, Windows Server, Active Directory, VM, E-mail System, Database System, SAN, network system, Wi-Fi system;
  • Solid experience in IT systems implementation, server and network administration, and incident management;
  • Good sense of cloud infrastructure and security and solid experience in CDN, DevSecOps, Cisco Umbrella, and Check Point is an advantage;
  • Can work independently, innovative, self-motivated and strong problem solving skills; and;
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese. Ability to speak Putonghua is a definite advantage.
