Research Assistant

THE JOB

Reporting to the Sports Psychology Manager, the Research Assistant will be responsible for the following duties:

• To assist in conducting research studies carried out in the Sports Psychology Centre;
• To assist in compiling statistics and preparing write-ups for research projects and publications;
• To conduct literature review and prepare summaries; and
• To perform any other appropriate duties as assigned by supervisors.

THE REQUIREMENTS

• Applicants should have: (1) a minimum of 5 passes in HKCEE or 5 HKDSE subjects with at least Level 2 or equivalent, including English, Chinese and Mathematics; or (2) any post secondary qualification;
• A university degree in social science, sports psychology or a relevant discipline is an advantage;
• Understanding or work experience about athletes' mental health research and intervention is an advantage;
• A minimum of six months' part-time experience in research, compiling statistics or statistical analysis;
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and SPSS;
• High levels of numeracy and attention to details are essential;
• Good command of both written English and Chinese (i.e., Cantonese and Mandarin); and
• Awareness/ knowledge of Child Protection in sport and equal opportunity issues in the context of Hong Kong are an added advantage.
