THE JOB

Reporting to the Facility Manager (FAM), the Assistant Facility Manager will be responsible:

  • Assist the FAM in managing effectively the whole campus and satellite sites including offices and other facilities as well as diversified elite training venues such as the Bowling Centre, Badminton Hall, Squash Courts, Fencing Hall, and Wushu Hall, Grass in-field & Athletic Tracks, Swimming Complex, Rowing Centre, Athlete Hostel, 400-seater Theatre, meeting rooms & activity rooms, a 4-storey car parking etc.;
  • Assist FAM in providing efficient central services such as cleansing, security, lifeguard services, waste disposal, pest control, horticultural services for the landscape, office relocation etc. for a safe, hygienic and effective operation environment;
  • Assist FAM in exercising all aspects of facility management expenditure control, improvement of services, facilities operation, stock control, monitoring of outsourcing contractor's performance;
  • Directly supervise the in-house facilities staff in fulfilling the servicing obligation of the Facilities Management Team, including to provide appropriate training;
  • Assist the FAM in budgeting, budget control and other administrative duties;
  • Act as shift-in-charge of the Section and to handle emergency matters as required.


THE REQUIREMENTS

  • A university degree in Facility Management/ Property Management/ Housing Management or other relevant disciplines;
  • A minimum of 4 years of front-line supervisory working experience in facilities management and/ or hostel management;
  • Good supervisor, interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese. The ability to speak Putonghua is a definite advantage;
  • Proficiency in computer software applications, including MS Word, Excel and Chinese Word Processing;
  • Knowledge in estate management software such as Building Management System and Smart Facility Management System would be an advantage.
