The role

The Content Marketing Strategist is responsible for creating strategic content briefs for written and video content for our clients. The Content Marketing Strategist is also responsible for editing online content to ensure adherence to SEO best practices contained in strategic briefs. The Content Marketing Expert works in close collaboration with the Project Managers to understand and contribute to the goals and success of client campaigns.  


Responsibilities:

  • Perform SEO keyword research, topic research, and search intent analysis for each content piece to identify opportunities.
  • Provide strategic guidance and detailed specifications for each content campaign. These include clear instructions for the writer on the primary persona, goal/pain point, main topic, subtopics, sources of research, primary and secondary keywords, suggested internal and external links, and calls-to-action.
  • Take part in the editorial process – create, edit, optimize, and repurpose content (blog articles, videos, whitepapers, ad copy, webpage content, email copy, landing page copy, etc) for clients and/or Hop Online’s own marketing efforts.
  • Ensure exceptional quality of all content produced under Hop Online’s guidance.
  • Monitor and evaluate content marketing results and suggest changes to the content strategy. 
  • Communicate to team and management on project development, timelines, and results.
  • Work closely with other team members, as well as with clients’ in-house content teams to ensure the success of the content marketing campaigns. 


Desired skills and experience:

  • Native or fully proficient English (experience living and/or working in a foreign country is a plus).
  • Excellent writing, editing, and optimizing skills.
  • Understanding of core SEO principles and SEO content.
  • Demonstrated success in working in cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness and openness to share knowledge and help others improve.
  • Curious, analytical mindset and desire for continual for self-learning.
  • Problem solver!
  • Proficiency in data analysis, spreadsheets, and slide presentations. 
  • Competence, professionalism, resourcefulness
