Overview Summary
We are looking for self-directed, organized individuals who are interested in helping clients plan personalized vacation experiences while working in a flexible, remote environment. As an Independent Travel Consultant, you will research vacation options, provide recommendations, coordinate requested arrangements, and support clients throughout the planning process.
Client requests may range from cruises and all-inclusive resorts to family vacations, couples getaways, group trips, tours, celebrations, and international experiences. Previous industry experience is not necessary. Training and access to professional resources are provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Consult with clients to identify their vacation goals, schedules, preferences, and spending plans
- Research destinations and evaluate available vacation products and services
- Compare resorts, hotels, cruises, tours, excursions, transportation, and package options
- Develop recommendations based on each client's individual priorities
- Provide clear information regarding accommodations, inclusions, promotions, and booking requirements
- Coordinate requested arrangements through approved supplier and reservation platforms
- Prepare and organize confirmations, schedules, and itinerary information
- Monitor important reservation dates, payment deadlines, and documentation requirements
- Follow up with clients throughout the research and planning process
- Review reservation information carefully to ensure details are complete and accurate
- Assist with general questions, special requests, and routine booking adjustments
- Maintain organized records of client communications and arrangements
- Continue expanding knowledge of destinations, suppliers, and vacation products
Qualifications
- Professional communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong customer service mindset
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage responsibilities independently
- Excellent organization and attention to detail
- Comfortable researching and evaluating information online
- Able to manage multiple requests, deadlines, and follow-ups
- Basic proficiency with computers, email, and internet-based applications
- Comfortable learning reservation systems and supplier platforms
- Reliable, resourceful, and willing to continue developing new skills
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must reside in the United States, United Kingdom, Spain, Australia, Mexico, or another qualifying regions
