Horizon Tech is hiring a full-time  Graphic Designer to create high-quality digital and print assets with a strong emphasis on print production, printing images, and color management. You'll take projects from concept to press-ready deliverables web/social graphics, ads, emails, presentations, brochures, packaging, signage, and other collateral, collaborating asynchronously with Marketing, Product, Sales, and external print vendors. You'll work primarily in Adobe Creative Cloud Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, plus Acrobat for preflight and proofs, ensuring on-brand, technically sound, production-ready outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Own concepts through final production for digital and print deliverables.
• Prepare print-ready files with correct sizes, bleeds, trim/safe areas, dielines, spot colors, and export specs (e.g., PDF/X).
• Retouch, composite, and optimize high-resolution images for screen and printing; ensure sharpness and color fidelity.
• Manage color across workflows (ICC profiles, CMYK/RGB/Pantone conversions, soft proofing, calibration); review and approve printer proofs.
• Build and maintain brand templates, layout systems, and style guides; ensure consistency across channels.
• Perform preflight/QC, package files, name/version assets, and maintain an organized asset library.
• Coordinate with printers on materials, finishes, timelines, and technical requirements; troubleshoot production issues.
• Iterate quickly based on feedback while meeting deadlines and quality standards.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of professional graphic design experience across digital and print (agency or in-house).
• Must-have: expert proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign; strong experience printing images and with end-to-end color management.
• Solid prepress knowledge: resolution/DPI, raster vs. vector, overprint/knockout, trapping, dielines, PDF standards, and large-format nuances.
• Excellent typography, layout, and composition skills; meticulous attention to detail and production accuracy.
• Strong photo retouching, masking, and image optimization skills.
• Clear communication, time management, and ability to work independently in a remote, async environment.
• Portfolio required showcasing relevant digital and print work; nice to have: Figma or XD, After Effects/motion, packaging experience.
