Horizon Tech is looking for a motivated and creative Social Media Intern to join our Digital Marketing team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about social media, content creation, and emerging AI tools in digital marketing. You will gain hands-on experience in managing social media platforms, supporting content execution, and learning modern workflows used in fast-paced marketing environments.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in publishing and scheduling content across social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.).
• Ensure timely posting according to the defined content calendar.
• Upload captions, hashtags, and creatives with accuracy and consistency.
• Support the Social Media Executive in content planning and execution.
• Monitor basic engagement, including comments and messages.
• Conduct competitor research and identify content trends.
• Maintain and update content calendars and posting schedules.
• Track basic performance metrics such as reach, engagement, and followers.
• Collaborate with internal teams for content and design coordination.
• Stay updated with social media trends, tools, and best practices.
• Use AI tools to assist in generating captions, ideas, hashtags, and research.
• Learn to refine AI-generated content according to brand tone and guidelines.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Basic understanding of major social media platforms and content formats.
• Familiarity with tools like Canva, CapCut, or similar.
• Basic awareness or exposure to AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT or similar).
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, especially in content publishing.
• Ability to follow instructions and manage time effectively.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

EDUCATION:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma/short course in Marketing, Mass Communication, Digital Media, or any related field.
• Candidates from other backgrounds with a strong interest in social media are also encouraged to apply.
