Horizon Tech is building a platform focused on operational efficiency, workflow automation, and scalable digital tools for our business. We are looking for a highly capable technical partner who can help turn business ideas and partially developed AI-generated concepts into production-ready applications and systems.

This role is ideal for someone who is entrepreneurial, pragmatic, fast-moving, and comfortable working directly with a business owner who has strong product vision but is not a full-time developer.

What You'll Do

• Translate business ideas, workflows, and concepts into technical solutions
• Take rough concepts, ChatGPT-generated code, screenshots, diagrams, and notes and turn them into functioning applications
• Architect, build, deploy, and maintain web-based platforms and internal tools
• Recommend technical approaches, infrastructure, and implementation strategies
• Build MVPs quickly while maintaining scalability and maintainability
• Integrate APIs, AI tools, automation systems, databases, and third-party platforms
• Improve and refactor existing prototypes and AI-generated code
• Troubleshoot deployment, hosting, authentication, and production issues
• Communicate clearly about tradeoffs, timelines, and technical decisions

Required Skills

• Strong full-stack development experience
• Experience deploying and maintaining production applications
• Experience working with AI-assisted development tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, etc.)
• Strong understanding of APIs, databases, authentication, and cloud infrastructure
• Ability to work independently with limited technical direction
• Strong communication skills with non-technical stakeholders
• Experience rapidly prototyping and iterating products
