IT Service Desk Intern

 Job Description:

Horizon Technologies is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated IT Service Desk Intern to support our IT operations team. The intern will assist in maintaining end-user devices, troubleshooting technical issues, and supporting overall IT infrastructure tasks. This role is ideal for individuals looking to build their career in IT Support and gain hands-on experience in a professional environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing and maintaining end-user devices and IT infrastructure
  • Provide basic technical support to users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues
  • Help maintain the office network and coordinate with ISPs for internet support where needed
  • Log support requests and update tickets accordingly
  • Support administration of Active Directory and Group Policy tasks under supervision
  • Assist in creating and maintaining IT documentation and asset database
  • Learn and support IP Telephony (Asterisk) troubleshooting
  • Assist with data backup tasks when required

Must Haves:

  • Fresh graduate or currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
  • Basic understanding of IT infrastructure including hardware, operating systems, and networks
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals such as IP addressing and routers/switches
  • Strong willingness to learn and adapt in a 24/7 operation with rotational shifts
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
