IT Support Executive

 Job Description:

Horizon Technologies is seeking an IT Support Executive who will provide comprehensive IT support to clients, both on-site and remotely, ensuring efficient and timely resolution of technical issues.

Must Haves:

  • Strong understanding of computer hardware and software components.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
  • Experience with network administration and configuration.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory user management and security best practices.
  • Setup and manage routers.
  • Familiarity with data backup and recovery procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must have at least 3 years of experience.
  • Must have own bike.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Visit on-site client locations to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues.
  • Diagnose and resolve computer system issues, printers, and other peripheral devices.
  • Implement preventive maintenance measures to minimize downtime and optimize system performance.
  • Provide remote technical assistance to clients via phone, email, and remote access tools.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to software applications, network connectivity, and system configurations.
  • Install and configure computer systems, including hardware and software components.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to operating systems, applications, and drivers.

Network Management:

  • Provide technical support to customers requiring email support.
  • Set up POP3 email accounts and configure incoming and outgoing server settings.
  • Manage Outlook data files and user profile creation.
  • Manage and maintain Local Area Networks (LANs) and Wide Area Networks (WANs).
  • Configure routers and switches to ensure optimal network performance and security.

Active Directory Management:

  • Create, manage, and modify user accounts and permissions within Active Directory.
  • Implement security policies and best practices to protect sensitive data.

User Backup:

  • Manage and implement backup procedures to safeguard critical data.
  • Restore data from backups as needed to recover from system failures or data loss.

Mikrotik Router Management:

  • Manage IT assets and update IT inventory.
  • Configure and manage Mikrotik routers for network routing, firewalling, and Quality of Service (QoS) management.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Mikrotik router configurations.

Other Details:

  • Job Timings: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Morning Fixed)
  • Working Days: Monday to Saturday
  • Office Location:  Off to Shahrah-e-Faisal, Karachi
