We are seeking a skilled Senior WordPress Developer with proven expertise in WooCommerce and custom plugin development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimising e-commerce websites, integrating third-party APIs, and leading code reviews. Strong knowledge of PHP, WordPress APIs, REST, and front-end technologies is essential, along with a collaborative approach to working with designers and project managers.

Must Haves

• 3+ years building WooCommerce stores and custom WP plugins.
• Deep experience with WooCommerce hooks/actions, custom post types, taxonomies, and WP REST API.
• Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript.
• Familiarity with Composer, Git, and modern dev workflows.
• Knowledgeable in front-end frameworks (VanillaJS, React, Vue).
• Experience integrating with payment, shipping, or ERP APIs.
• Strong UX/UI sensibility, TypeScript, and JS bundling tools are a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to scope and estimate plugins and features.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and enhance WooCommerce-based e-commerce websites.
• Architect and develop custom WordPress pluginsoptimizing for performance, security, and scalability.
• Integrate with third-party APIs (payment gateways, shipping, marketing, etc.).
• Lead code reviews and enforce best practices in object-oriented PHP, WP APIs, REST, and database design.
• Work collaboratively with designers and project managers to deliver polished, responsive front-end experiences (HTML/CSS/JS).
• Deploy and manage on live production environments, troubleshoot bugs, and optimise performance.
