Horizon Tech is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Shopify Developer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a professional with deep expertise in Shopify architecture, custom app development, API integrations, B2B & B2C e-commerce solutions, SEO optimization, and Hydrogen & Oxygen front-end development.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building software-based Shopify products, developing custom third-party integrations, managing large product catalogs, and confidently leading technical discussions and product demonstrations with US-based clients.

You will play a key role in designing, developing, optimizing, and presenting enterprise-level Shopify solutions with a strong focus on scalability, performance, modern front-end architecture, and business-driven e-commerce functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

Shopify Website Development (B2C & B2B Stores):

• Design, develop, and launch complete Shopify websites for both B2C and B2B e-commerce models.
• Build fully customized Shopify storefronts using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Convert Figma/PSD designs into responsive, high-performance Shopify websites.
• Configure full store setup including products, collections, payment gateways, shipping, and tax systems.
• Implement advanced B2B features such as:
  • Wholesale pricing models
  • Customer segmentation
  • Tiered pricing
  • MOQ rules
  • Custom checkout workflows
• Develop conversion-focused B2C shopping experiences with optimized user journeys.
• Ensure responsive, mobile-first, and SEO-friendly site architecture.
• Handle end-to-end website deployment, testing, and go-live processes.

Shopify Development & Architecture:

• Demonstrate strong understanding of Shopify platform architecture including theme layer, app layer, APIs, and backend workflows.
• Develop and customize Shopify templates, sections, and blocks for complex business needs.
• Build scalable, reusable, and high-performance front-end components aligned with Hydrogen & Oxygen principles.

Shopify APIs, Data Management & Custom App Development:

• Develop and integrate Shopify solutions using REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Build, deploy, and maintain custom Shopify apps.
• Develop custom third-party integrations with ERPs, CRMs, payment gateways, shipping providers, and inventory systems.
• Implement Shopify OAuth authentication, webhooks, and secure API workflows.
• Manage product data using metafields and dynamic data structures.
• Perform bulk product operations including:
  • Bulk uploads
  • Data synchronization
  • Automated imports via APIs

B2B E-Commerce Solutions:

• Design enterprise-level B2B Shopify solutions including:
  • Wholesale pricing systems
  • Tiered pricing logic
  • Customer role-based access
  • Automated order workflows
• Implement scalable product catalog management for large inventories.

SEO & Technical SEO Optimization:

• Implement Shopify SEO best practices to improve organic visibility.
• Optimize technical SEO including:
  • Page speed optimization
  • Core Web Vitals improvement
  • Structured data/schema implementation
  • URL and metadata optimization
• Ensure mobile-first and search-engine-friendly architecture.

Software Product Development:

• Develop and maintain software-based Shopify products with reusable components.
• Lead feature enhancements, performance improvements, and system optimization initiatives.

Client Interaction & Product Demonstrations:

• Participate in technical meetings with US-based clients.
• Conduct product demonstrations and explain technical workflows and architecture.
• Provide consultation on scalable Shopify solutions.

Performance Optimization & Quality Assurance:

• Optimize storefront performance for speed, scalability, and user experience.
• Implement best practices for:
  • Efficient Liquid rendering
  • Lazy loading
  • Asset optimization
• Conduct testing, debugging, and cross-browser compatibility validation.

Collaboration & Documentation:

• Collaborate with designers, backend developers, and product teams.
• Maintain clear documentation for custom features, integrations, and workflows.
• Use Git/version control for team collaboration.

Technical Skills:

• Strong expertise in Shopify theme and app development
• Deep knowledge of Shopify architecture
• Advanced experience with Shopify REST & GraphQL APIs
