Job Description:
Horizon Tech is seeking a passionate and highly motivated Travel Consultant to join our team. As a Cruise and Vacation Packages Specialist, you will be responsible for helping clients plan, customise, and book their cruise and vacation packages. Your expertise and exceptional customer service will be instrumental in creating memorable travel experiences for our clients.
Must Haves:
- Proven experience as a Travel Consultant or similar role, with expertise in cruise, vacation package planning, and ticketing.
- Strong knowledge of popular travel destinations, cruise lines, resorts, vacation activities, and airline ticketing procedures.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in using travel booking software ticketing systems (e.g., GDS like Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo) and online reservation platforms.
- Sales-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- A passion for travel and a willingness to explore new destinations.
- Certification from a recognised travel agency school or association is a plus.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- A valid travel consultant license or equivalent credentials, if required in your jurisdiction
Key Responsibilities:
Consultation:
- Assist clients in understanding their travel preferences and needs, providing expert advice on cruise, vacation packages, and ticketing options.
Package Customisation:
- Tailor vacation packages to meet individual client requirements, including destinations, activities, accommodations, flights, and budget.
Ticketing & Reservations:
- Handle airline ticket bookings, reissuances, cancellations, and refunds through GDS or other platforms.
- Manage the entire booking process, from making reservations to processing payments and securing necessary travel documents.
Product Knowledge:
- Stay up-to-date on cruise lines, resorts, hotels, travel destinations, and airline policies to offer informed recommendations to clients.
Customer Service:
- Deliver exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a smooth travel experience for clients.
Sales and Promotions:
- Promote and upsell additional services, upgrades, or special offers to maximise revenue and customer satisfaction.
Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and organised records of client information, travel itineraries, tickets and financial transactions.
Continuous Learning:
- Stay informed about industry trends and new travel products to enhance your expertise and customer service.
Follow-Up:
- Follow up with clients after their trips to gather feedback, build relationships, and encourage repeat business.

- Job Timings: Evening night shift following US-CST time zone.
