Job Description:
Horizon Tech is seeking a passionate and highly motivated Travel Consultant to join our team. As a Cruise, Group, and Vacation Packages Specialist, you will be responsible for helping clients plan, customize, and book their cruise, group, and vacation packages. Your expertise and exceptional customer service will be instrumental in creating memorable travel experiences for our clients.
Must Haves:
- Proven experience as a Travel Consultant or similar role, with expertise in cruise, group, and vacation package planning, and ticketing.
- Strong knowledge of popular travel destinations, cruise lines, resorts, group tours, vacation activities, and airline ticketing procedures.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in using travel booking software and ticketing systems (e.g., GDS like Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo) and online reservation platforms.
- Sales-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- A passion for travel and a willingness to explore new destinations.
- Certification from a recognized travel agency school or association is a plus.
- A valid travel consultant license or equivalent credentials, if required in your jurisdiction.
Key Responsibilities:
Consultation:
- Assist clients in understanding their travel preferences and needs, providing expert advice on cruise, group, and vacation packages, as well as ticketing options.
Package Customisation:
- Tailor group and individual vacation packages to meet client requirements, including destinations, activities, accommodations, flights, and budget.
Ticketing & Reservations:
- Handle airline ticket bookings, reissuances, cancellations, and refunds through GDS or other platforms.
- Manage the entire booking process, from making reservations to processing payments and securing necessary travel documents.
Product Knowledge:
- Stay up to date on cruise lines, group tour packages, resorts, hotels, travel destinations, and airline policies to offer informed recommendations to clients.
Customer Service:
- Deliver exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a smooth travel experience for clients.
Sales and Promotions:
- Promote and upsell additional services, upgrades, or special offers, including group discounts and special group travel promotions, to maximize revenue and customer satisfaction.
Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and organized records of client information, travel itineraries, tickets, and financial transactions.
Continuous Learning:
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging group travel products, and new travel opportunities to enhance expertise and customer service.
Follow-Up:
- Follow up with clients after their trips to gather feedback, build relationships, and encourage repeat business, especially for group and corporate travel opportunities.

- Job Timings: Evening night shift following US-CST time zone.
