Project Manager / Permit Coordinator (ZR-672)

 Job Description:

Horizon Tech is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Manager / Permit Coordinator to oversee sign projects from sale through installation and closeout. This role is responsible for managing timelines, coordinating departments, communicating with customers, obtaining permits, and ensuring projects are completed accurately, on time, and within budget.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates professionally, and can manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of customer service.

Key Responsibilities: 

Project Management Duties:

  • Manage sign projects from initial handoff through fabrication, permitting, installation, and final completion
  • Review project specifications, drawings, site photos, and customer requirements
  • Create and maintain project schedules and timelines
  • Coordinate with sales, design, production, installers, subcontractors, and vendors
  • Track project progress and proactively resolve delays or issues
  • Schedule site surveys, inspections, deliveries, and installations
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and job records
  • Monitor project budgets, change orders, and production costs
  • Ensure projects meet customer expectations, municipal requirements, and company quality standards
  • Communicate project updates regularly with customers and internal teams
  • Coordinate closeout documentation and final approvals

Permitting & Code Compliance Duties:

  • Prepare and submit sign permit applications to local municipalities and jurisdictions
  • Research zoning regulations, sign codes, and permitting requirements
  • Coordinate with city planners, permitting offices, landlords, and property managers
  • Track permit status and follow up with jurisdictions to ensure timely approvals
  • Review drawings and site plans for code compliance
  • Maintain permitting records, approvals, and inspection documentation
  • Coordinate required revisions or resubmittals
  • Schedule inspections and ensure compliance with local codes and regulations
  • Stay current on municipal sign code updates and permitting procedures

Administrative & Coordination Duties:

  • Maintain organized digital and physical project files
  • Enter and update project information in company management systems
  • Assist with production scheduling and workflow coordination
  • Order materials or coordinate purchasing as needed
  • Prepare project reports and status updates for management
  • Support continuous improvement of project management and permitting processes

  • Job Timings: On-site 5:30 PM till 2:30 AM.
  • Office location: Off to Shahrah-e-Faisal, PECHS, Karachi
