Job Description:

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Motor Mechanic to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles, including cars and SUVs. The role requires a high level of technical expertise and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conducting diagnostic tests on vehicles to identify any issues or malfunctions

- Performing routine maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections

- Repairing or replacing faulty parts and components, such as engines, transmissions, and brakes

- Conducting vehicle inspections and test drives to ensure proper functioning

- Maintaining accurate records of all repairs and services performed

- Communicating with customers to explain repairs and provide recommendations for future maintenance

- Keeping up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in automotive technology

- Adhering to all safety protocols and regulations in the workshop

- Assisting with training and mentoring junior mechanics and apprentices.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology or equivalent

- Minimum of 12 months of experience as a Motor Mechanic

- Strong knowledge of automotive systems and components

- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment

- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Strong attention to detail and time management skills

- Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Contract Details:

This is a full-time position, located in Coburg North. The salary for this role is $76000 to $82000 per annum, depending on experience, plus superannuation.
