Sandhu Agriculture Pty Ltd is seeking a hardworking and experienced Fruit Farm Worker to join our team at our farm located in Moresby, QLD, Australia. This is a full-time position with a salary range of $68,000 to $80,000 plus superannuation.
As a Fruit Farm Worker, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to the cultivation and harvesting of fruits. This includes planting, pruning, irrigating, fertilizing, and harvesting crops. You will also be responsible for maintaining and repairing farm equipment, as well as ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the farm.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12 months of experience working on a fruit farm and possess a Certificate I in horticulture. You must be physically fit and able to work in various weather conditions. Attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to work independently are also essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planting, pruning, irrigating, fertilizing, and harvesting fruits
- Maintaining and repairing farm equipment
- Ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the farm
- Operating machinery such as tractors, harvesters, and sprayers
- Monitoring crop health and identifying any potential issues
- Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times
- Assisting with general farm maintenance and other duties as required
Requirements:
- Minimum of 12 months of experience working on a fruit farm
- Certificate I in horticulture/agriculture
- Physically fit and able to work in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of farm equipment and machinery
