Position: Chef (Indian cuisine)
Position Overview:
Baba Shrichand 3 Pty Ltd t/a Indian Curry Hutt is currently seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking and creating delicious dishes, as well as a strong background in the hospitality industry. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen, including menu planning, food preparation, and ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and create menus that are in line with the company's standards and guest preferences
- Oversee the preparation and cooking of all dishes, ensuring they are of the highest quality and presentation
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring they are following proper food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Manage inventory and ordering of supplies, ensuring the kitchen is always well-stocked
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operation and guest satisfaction
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and introduce new dishes to keep the menu fresh and exciting
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, following all health and safety regulations
- Monitor food costs and work within budget to maximize profitability
- Handle any customer complaints or concerns regarding food quality or service
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure the kitchen is meeting all health and safety standards
- Participate in recruitment and training of new kitchen staff
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Chef in a high-volume restaurant or hotel setting
- Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as a Chef
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Passion for food and creativity in menu planning
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

Salary Package:
$73,500 - $75,000 Plus Superannuation per annum.
