We are looking for a skilled and passionate Chef to join our team and help us bring our vision to life.

Position Overview:

As a Chef at Rigatoni Pty Ltd, you will be responsible for creating and executing our menu, ensuring that each dish is prepared to the highest standard and meets our customers' expectations. You will work closely with our Head Chef to develop new and exciting dishes, as well as maintain the quality and consistency of our existing menu items. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and opportunities for growth within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes from our menu, ensuring that each dish is prepared to the highest standard and meets our customers' expectations

- Work closely with the Head Chef to develop new and exciting dishes, as well as maintain the quality and consistency of our existing menu items

- Train and supervise kitchen staff, including cooks, apprentices, and kitchen hands

- Ensure that all food is prepared in a timely manner and in accordance with food safety and hygiene standards

- Manage inventory and ordering of kitchen supplies and ingredients

- Create and maintain a positive and collaborative work environment within the kitchen

- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations

- Continuously strive to improve and innovate our menu offerings and kitchen operations

- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen at all times

- Other duties as assigned by the Head Chef or management team

Qualifications and Skills:

- Minimum of 1 year experience as a Chef in a fast-paced restaurant environment

- Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery  or above 

- Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine and cooking techniques

- Excellent time management and organizational skills

- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment

- Strong leadership and communication skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Attention to detail and a passion for creating high-quality dishes

- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

- Must have a valid food handler's certificate and be familiar with food safety and hygiene regulations

- Must be physically able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this position is $72,000 to $78,000 per year, depending on experience, plus superannuation. We also offer opportunities for growth and development within the company, as well as a positive and collaborative work environment.
