Kartar Dhall Pty Ltd t/a Ballina's Indian Kitchen is seeking a skilled and passionate Cook to join our team on a full-time basis. Our restaurant is located in the beautiful coastal town of Ballina, NSW, and is known for its authentic and delicious Indian cuisine. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers have a memorable dining experience by preparing high-quality dishes that showcase the flavors and spices of Indian cuisine.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes according to our menu and recipes

- Ensure all dishes are cooked and presented to our high standards

- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen at all times

- Monitor and manage inventory levels of ingredients and supplies

- Train and supervise kitchen staff to maintain consistency in food preparation

- Collaborate with the management team to create new menu items and specials

- Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards at all times

- Follow all health and safety regulations and guidelines

- Continuously strive to improve and maintain the quality of food and service provided to our customers

Requirements:

- Minimum of 12 months of Proven experience as a Cook in a fast-paced restaurant environment

- In-depth knowledge of Indian cuisine and cooking techniques

- Ability to work well under pressure and in a team environment

- Excellent time management and organizational skills

- Strong communication and leadership abilities

- Attention to detail and passion for creating delicious, visually appealing dishes

- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

- Relevant culinary qualifications and certifications are a plus
