Hovland Barnes is conducting a search for a Mechanical Engineer on behalf of our client, a New York firm dedicated to construction projects with work across NYC and nationwide. If you're ready to stop supporting other people's projects and start running your own, this search is for you.

The work

• Full ownership of mechanical engineering on your projects, concept through closeout
• Technical documentation in Revit and AutoCAD
• Load and ventilation calculations, psychrometric analysis for equipment sizing
• Energy compliance with ComCheck and Title 24
• MEPF site surveys with complete reporting
• Construction-phase involvement: submittals, shop drawings, RFIs

The profile

• You use Revit and AutoCAD daily and have for at least three years
• Your background includes 3 to 5 years designing mechanical systems for buildings
• You know how to move a design through code — ASHRAE 90.1, IECC, and IMC are familiar territory
• You hold an engineering degree (B.S.) from an ABET-accredited program
• You can reach the office and project sites in NYC on a hybrid arrangement
